Pros and cons of Go Talk - Learn languages app for iPhone and iPad

Go Talk - Learn languages app good for

I want to learn Tibetan by utalk! Please create Tibetan application!
Those pictures are high quality, not mecanical voice, fun game. but the price is a little expensive... you have to pay about $19 each language you want to learn. I purchesed anyway, so Ill keep use this one though.
Pretty good, but you need some. We basic improvements: 1 - Allow users to highlight problem words, to create their own lesson. Then all the words we have trouble remembering can be in one place, and we can study those. 2 - When teaching sentences, tell us what each word means. Dont just give us a full sentence and the translation. How does that help us learn the language?
I love uTalk. I have purchased many of their premium languages, and theyre great. Here are a few ideas I think might make this app stand above the rest: 1. If you have more than one language on your list, their should be a study option where ALL languages can be studied at the same time. Youll get random phrases and words from the languages purchased. Itll make studying more challenging and interesting. The algorithm will continue drilling you on the wrong answers, so that wont change. And itll indicate what language it is. 2. More related sentences/words one might use in the country itself. 3. More words like, spoon, fork, etc. 4. More sentences. 5. This might not happen, but simple grammatical explanations that cant be ignored. Thats all for now. I could only see this app getting better... I hope. Great job, guys!
This app makes it really easy to learn a specific language! Really well designed!
What is wrong with the volume?? It is low! Can you fix this? I do love the app!!!

Some bad moments

Stick with utalk classic, far better site. uTalk Go will try to charge you again for anything more than a few words. Already paid for uTalk classic but once you upgrade you cant open that site. Feel like Ive been mislead and ripped off.
So theyve added Latin. Thats Latin, Klingon, and Esperanto....but I digress. Anyway, after update so-and-so, the slideshow under the practice function crashes almost incessantly: super annoying. Thats a major loss of functionality. ------- I have been using Utalk now for more than 5 years, and I can tell you that it is certainly one of the best apps available for basic language accommodation, and it is being constantly improved. In the midst of all of the obscure language offerings (e.g. Esperanto - an invented language), they have miserably failed to see their opportunity to provide support for endangered languages - more specifically, the most currently endangered language... Aramaic. Aramaic (Western/Suryoyo, Eastern/Assyrian, and Classical Aramaic) is in danger of disappearing from the face of the earth. Whole communities are being slaughtered in the middle east, and whereas the implications and repercussions thereof are much greater than that of just a language, the annihilation of those communities means the elimination of the center of language knowledge for the worldwide diaspora of Arameans. My language, Western Armenian*, was in danger of annihilation more than a century ago in the Great Christian Genocide, of which the Armenian Genocide was a part -- 1.5+million Armenians, 300-500 thousand Arameans, and tens of thousands of Greek and many other Christian ethnic groups in the Middle East were slaughtered. Thanks be to Almighty God and His Church that brave men and women were preserved and kept their languages to this day. The Hebrew language would be extinct had not the Lord returned his people to Zion and given them a hero to revive their language. Now, Utalk has the opportunity to be one of those new heroes for the Aramean community worldwide. If any of the Utalk developers are reading this, feel free to contact me or a Maronite, Eastern Aramean, or Aramaen Pentecostal Church, and I am sure you will find all the help you need to make this a reality -- and some great people too!!! Lets defeat at least one of ISIS goals and preserve the language of this ancient people!!!! This is your opportunity Utalk, take it!!!!!!! yAnun Yisusi Qristosi Hisusi Anunov Hisusi Anvampn Bshem Yeshua HaMashiach Bshmi Yshua Mshikha Bsm(i) Yesuah(a) AlMesiah(i) En el Nombre de JesuCristo In the Name of Jesus the Messiah Amen Amen Amen <*Utalks Armenian offering is actually Modern Eastern Armenian - the dialect of appx. 18-19th century Ararat, influenced by Modern Yerevanian Dialect. This is the language spoken in what is left of Armenia proper, after the genocide. Western Armenian was dispersed after the genocide and thus is the predominant language of the diaspora>
Cant tell if its broken or just really hard to use. Says i have inatalled content. But cant access it. Yuck. What a waste !!!
2 months After paying $18.00 including tax for uTalks full language selection so I could learn my wifes native language before our first child is born the app deleted everything I had payed for! After contacting them for help to get what I had payed for back, they took their time and finally told me I had to prove my purchase. After doing sending my apple receipt for it they have not contacted me back or restored the language Ive payed for! This company is low down and dirty and coast me almost $20! Dont make the same mistake I made! Dont throw away your money on these thieves! They wait a few months and then restrict your access back to the basic setting. They are liars and thieves and Apple should refuse to offer their product!
Ever since the last update it crashes before I can finish a lesson.
I m using U Talk to brush up some Russian. Do not expect to learn challenging sentences or to learn any grammar - mainly you ll learn words, which is fine with me. Associating a picture with a word makes it quite easy. The pronunciation is faultless (said my Russian teacher), you hear a man s and a woman s voice. What I do not like: I can t switch off the transliteration. But the really negative point is that there are some nasty, sloppy mistakes! Hope someone will correct them soon, otherwise the App is not worth the money.
